MONTHLY TESTING OF THE
OUTDOOR WARNING SYSTEM

To ensure Sarcoxie’s Outdoor Warning System remains reliable and ready to alert the community during emergencies, the City conducts regular monthly testing of all sirens. These tests take place on the second Wednesday of each month at 10:00 a.m.

This routine testing helps verify that each siren is functioning properly and allows our public safety teams to identify any maintenance needs before an actual emergency occurs.

If testing cannot be performed at the scheduled time—such as during inclement weather, unexpected community events, or other conditions that may cause confusion—the test will be canceled. In those cases, the system will simply resume testing on the next regularly scheduled date.
